The purpose of the Guiding Principles is to establish a comprehensive framework for the allocation, assignment and management of institutional facilities space, so it’s used efficiently and effectively, aligning with the University of Minnesota’s mission of Research and Discovery, Teaching and Learning, and Outreach and Public Service, carried out in all its facilities throughout the state.
The Guiding Principles are not meant to be prescriptive or restrictive, but rather help guide our institutional planning efforts.
