U Construction

U Construction Services provides functional support in planning and managing smaller scale university projects on the Twin Cities campus. Their staff includes project managers, estimators, architects, and engineers, and the full range of tradespeople to meet the needs of a project. FMdesign serves as design consultants to university stakeholders by supporting the planning and design of project requests which are managed by U Construction. Their services include but are not limited to the following:

  • Construction Services: project scoping, project estimating, construction scheduling and construction management
  • Design Services: architectural and interior design services, building code analysis, ADA accessibility compliance investigations, facility infrastructure reviews / feasibility studies and building forensics services
  • Trade Services: routine service/maintenance work, carpentry, mechanical, electrical and plumbing work, low voltage cabling, signage design and install, and security and door hardware/locksmith services
